This brownfield site on the edge of Salisbury had a number of challenging constraints including a major electrical substation. The arrangement of the site and design of individual houses were developed to ensure the environmental conditions of the primary living spaces were not affected by the substation. Residential densities were maintained and a scheme that was attractive to housebuilders and ensured robust urban design principles were provided.
