About Us

Keep Architecture has successfully achieved planning consent for over 3000 new homes and other uses on many greenfield, brownfield and higher density town centre sites across the UK.

Currently our active projects range from the conversion of existing buildings or a handful of new residential units up to large strategic communities with over 2000 new homes.

We consider that better architecture comes from an in-depth understanding of clients’ needs, project drivers, planning policy, resourcefulness, robustness, frugality and appropriateness.

Our design approach is driven by a responsible strategy that is informed by a world of limited and precious resources along with a detailed knowledge of complex social and economic needs.

We endeavour to add value to each specific task we undertake by listening to and delivering client and stakeholder needs, resolving complex and challenging projects and constraints, increasing project density, designing efficient, logical and flexible buildings, whilst understanding and responding to the wider social, legislative, environmental and economic backdrop. We endeavour to adopt this approach at every stage of a project.

We create attractive and engaging designs that have a strong and identifiable narrative, yet are realistic and deliverable. We do this by ensuring a strong and easily identifiable project vision is created for each project. This might be a design concept, a community led requirement, the need to provide a 'sense of place' or an important financial or technical project driver. Having a strong vision for a project ensures stakeholder support.

We reinforce the value and vision drivers of each project by ensuring strong and clear lines of communication, engagement and consultation at all levels throughout the design process. We recruit the best designers and technical staff and direct resources, promote debate and manage change (no matter how painful) effectively.
