Redcatch Quarter

Location: Bristol

Client: BBS and Melburg

Status: Outline Planning Consent

Following Keep’s planning consent for 420 new homes and partial redevelopment of Broadwalk Shopping Centre in Knowle in 2021, we were appointed by the new purchasers of the site to prepare a scheme that considered the complete redevelopment of this two hectare town centre site.

An enhanced scheme was created that improved the pedestrian connectivity to Redcatch Park with a selection of residential mansion blocks, new shops and community facilities.

A total of up to 850 new homes were provided with high quality landscaping, dramatically improved biodiversity, carbon reduction, public open space, new library, dentist and community hub building. A range of new homes were provided including private ownership, Affordable Housing, Later Living and Build to Rent.

Keep Architecture successfully achieved planning consent in 2023.
